Inspect Your Clipboard with Confidence
Ever wondered exactly what's on your clipboard? Our Clipboard Viewer is a secure and private tool that lets you inspect the contents of your system's clipboard directly within your browser. Whether it's text with hidden formatting, a specific image, or a list of files, this tool gives you a clear view without sending your data anywhere. It's an essential utility for developers, writers, and anyone who frequently works with copy-paste functionality.
How It Works
The tool uses the modern Clipboard API available in web browsers to request access to your clipboard's content. Once you grant permission, it actively polls for changes and displays the current content. All processing happens locally on your machine; your clipboard data is never uploaded to a server, ensuring your privacy.
Key Features
- Multi-Content Support: View plain text, rich text, images, and even lists of copied files.
- Detailed Text Analysis: For text content, the viewer provides instant counts for characters, words, and lines.
- Image Information: When an image is on the clipboard, the tool displays its dimensions (width and height) and MIME type.
- Clipboard History: Automatically saves a history of your recent clipboard items (up to 20). This history is stored in your browser's session and is cleared when you close the tab.
- History Management:
- Pin Items: Keep important clipboard entries at the top of your history list.
- Search: Quickly filter your text history to find what you need.
- Re-copy & Delete: Easily copy a previous item back to your clipboard or remove it from the history.
- Export Functionality: Download your entire clipboard history as a JSON file for your records.
- Privacy-Focused: Operates entirely on the client-side. Your data stays in your browser.
